It started with a gift for my husband.

I was giving my husband a bread machine and wanted to include a cookbook. But every one I found missed the mark on design. I wanted something useful, affordable and beautiful enough to feel like part of the gift.

When I couldn’t find what I was looking for, I decided to create it. That search became The Simple Collection: appliance-specific cookbooks with calm covers, approachable recipes and room to make them your own.
